Special Olympics DC
Special Olympics DC is the local chapter of the global Special Olympics movement providing guidance and friendly competition for those in the DC area who have intellectual disabilities.
Project Goals
Special Olympics DC needed a brand new website to replace their previous one with a new appearance, streamlined navigation and overall enhanced user experience. DC Dev Shop was expected to work with leadership and a member of their Youth Professionals Council to ensure the new site would support all of the organization’s ideals and standards, while also being ADA compliant and appealing to a new generation of athletes and volunteers.
Scope of Services
DC Dev Shop developed a new sitemap that simplified the site’s navigation, built an entirely new website from the ground up, and designed graphics and interactive widgets that gave pages a modern flare. DCDS also upgraded Special Olympics DC’s communication and contact management system with HubSpot’s CRM platform and onboarded their internal team with the new software needed to run a smoother and more efficient operation. Forms were built out for contact segmentation based on a variety of factors from volunteer opportunities to health and fitness guidance during COVID-19.
Special Olympics DC was in need of a revamped website with an updated approach to contact management and segmentation. DC Dev Shop built up their online presence and provided tools that will help them manage their work more effectively.
